For over 15 years, Micheline has coached sports, researched sports injuries and worked as a physiotherapist, and in that time she has worked extensively with adolescents and adults with scoliosis. Her integrated, holistic approach incorporates both Western and Eastern modalities to offer patients a fully integrated method of addressing the discomfort, pain, tightness and imbalances related to scoliosis.
Her techniques involve a detailed assessment of alignment, range of motion, strength, balance and energy. Diet, routines, habits and other factors (e.g. ergonomics, sleeping positions) are also considered. Treatment techniques include manual therapy such as alignment correction, joint mobilization, myofascial release, massage, craniosacral therapy, visceral (organ) manipulation, acupuncture/acupressure, marma point therapy, nerve mobilization, targeted exercises and self-care education.
