Steve developed the method from information gathered over the years he spent exploring ways to relieve his own back pain. His research spanned therapies including chiropractics, all forms of massage, Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, acupressure, acupuncture, weight training, yoga, nutrition, breath work and energy work. The Backhealer method personalizes therapeutic practices of breathing, massage, and movement in order to stimulate an individual’s innate healing response to back pain. Steve is a certified fitness trainer, a specialist in performance nutrition and a yoga therapist.
