ABOUT THE RETREAT

Join Martha and Claudia for a week of exploration, investigating your own twisted and curved spine while also connecting to the powerful nature and culture of Troncones. Guests stay at a charming, family-run, beachside hotel where they will also enjoy daily breakfast and several dinners at their wonderful restaurant.
Savour the daily, gentle scoliosis-focused movement classes, held on the beautiful beachfront yoga platform of Casa Verde in Troncones, Mexico, Other activities include nature excursions, as well as beach walks, shopping, swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, sunset cocktail hour, and don’t forget about those siestas!
By the end of the week, you will not only be rested and rejuvenated, but you will have new friends and new tools (and very possibly a tan!) to support yourself in life moving forward. You will come away with a new depth of understanding of how you can help yourself as you develop your own, customized movement practice tailored to your specific needs for continued exploration at home.

RETREAT INFORMATION
Retreat includes:
All classes
7 nights accommodation, double occupancy, in ocean-front rooms.
3 catered meals (light breakfast, brunch, and dinner) per day.
Transportation to and from Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (ZIH) airport (participants are responsible for airfare to and from Mexico).
Important - inexpensive flights sell out… so book soon to get the best flight at the time of your choosing!
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Participants will stay in beautiful beachfront palapas at Los Raqueros, just a 15-minute walk from Casa Verde yoga studio where classes will be held. The villa has direct access to ocean swimming on Troncones beach, as well as a beach-side swimming pool.
Register before our deadline of July 15, 2026 to secure these rates (savings of $100 USD!):
Shared King bedroom / private bathroom: $1,975 USD per person for 2 occupants.
Solo King Bedroom / private bathroom: $2,425 USD per person for single occupancy.
MEALS:
Beautiful, freshly-made Mexican and fusion dishes will be provided by an in-house chef. Juices are fresh-pressed, and most of the ingredients are local. Light breakfast, snacks, brunch, and dinner will be provided. Food preferences will be taken into consideration for all.
COST:
$1,975 USD for shared accommodation, $2,425 USD for private accommodation, as detailed above.
Registration Deadline: July 15, 2026.Cost increase of $100 USD after July 15 deadline (provided there is still space at the retreat!).
DEPOSIT REQUIRED: $650 USD to reserve your spot.

Payment Policy: Registration & Deposit Deadline - July 15, 2026. As a non-profit, we need to know we have enough registrations required to fulfill our financial obligations to pay studios, accommodations, teachers, caterers, etc, by their deposit deadlines. Save $100 USD when you register by the Registration Deadline. NOTE: $650 USD deposit due at Registration; balance due two months prior to Retreat start date.
MOVEMENT SPACE - CASA VERDE:
Classes will be held in a beautiful, oceanfront, open-concept palapa with a stunning ocean view, just a 10-minute walk from our accommodations.
LOCATION - TRONCONES, MEXICO:
Troncones is both a rustic and luxurious beach village, overflowing with local cultural flavour, and miles of white sandy beach. It is located about 20 miles northwest of Zihuatanejo on the coast of the state of Guerrero, 500 km south-west of Mexico City, on the Pacific Ocean.
GETTING THERE:
Air Travel: You’ll want to book early to get inexpensive flights and more ‘direct’ travel routes. Your ultimate destination in Mexico is Ixtapa/Zihuantanejo airport.
Transportation from the airport: Troncones is located about 30 minutes from the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo airport. Taxis will be provided to and from the airport.

Fly into Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo (ZIH) Airport. A taxi will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the accommodations.

NOTE: It may be possible to extend your stay at either end of the trip, as mentioned.

6:30am - Light refreshments will be offered in the morning before class.
7:30am – 9:30am - Class with Martha and Claudia at Casa Verde
9:30am – 11:00am - Brunch
11:00am – 4:00pm - Free Time
4:00pm – 6:00pm - Class with Martha and Claudia at Casa Verde
6:30pm – 8:30pm - Dinner
Free Time Activities
Make the most of the beach (swim, boogie board, or take a surfing lesson), explore the tide pools, laze in the beautiful swimming pool, nap in a hammock, go for a bike ride, or visit the local vendors and markets on the main drag. Explore the nearby restaurants for delicious salads and smoothies.
Additional offerings for a fee:
Renting a bicycle is highly recommended; they are available for a nominal fee. The main Troncones road is almost entirely flat and 3 miles long from end to end. It’s fun to have the freedom to bike from the villa to town and back (taxi service and a shuttle bus are also available).
Optional kayaking through a beautiful nearby lagoon with a local, knowledgeable guide.
Relaxation Massage: Relaxation and/or Thai massages are available with a local masseuse in your room.
Manicure-Pedicure: A local technician will meet you at the villa.
Silver Jewellery shopping: a local artisan will visit the villa.
